At Britannia Royal Naval College

  • A personal identity card to allow access to BRNC and its facilities. For security and access availability, all Britannia Association members are required to notify the BA office on 01803 677565, 93749 7565 or 48 hours in advance of their proposed visit

Cornish Pilot Gigs

BOATING - Hawk 20 Day Boats and motor whalers.
Use of College resources is subject to availability and appropriate qualifications being held.
Requests require a notice of at least 72 hours.


Moorings available at current DIO daily rate throughout the year at Sandquay. Mooring fee will be advised on application. Notice of at least 72 hours is required.
All boats are subject to Dartmouth Harbour dues, payable to the Dartmouth Harbour Master.

All boats must hold suitable 3rd party liability insurance.

Townstal Farmhouse Hotel

The Picnic Boat

Britannia Association members can enjoy a 10% tariff reduction on picnics on board The Picnic Boat, which is moored on the River Dart and cruises from Dartmouth.

Bookings should be made direct with The Picnic Boat, stating that you are a member of the Britannia Association and your card should be produced on arrival.

The Picnic Boat caters for up to 12 people and offers Romantic Trips for Two, family gatherings, children's birthday parties, celebratory treats or even wildlife watching trips. Cruises last from 1 to 2 1/2 hours depending on your requirements and subject to tide times.

The Picnic Boat operates from March to December, is heated and has a full canopy. It is fully licensed and offers the following picnics:

The Naval Club

Britannia Association members enjoy an affiliated membership with the prestigious Naval Club in the heart of fashionable Mayfair, London.  The Club occupies a listed Georgian Town House that is both elegant and comfortable, and is within easy access of public transport.

The Naval Club, with its unique maritime atmosphere, offers all BA members a warm and friendly welcome whether staying at the club or not.

Overnight accommodation including a full English breakfast is available at the favourable affiliate membership rates for up to 4 nights per annum, additional nights maybe available on request via the BA office.

Public rooms on the ground floor include the paneled bar and a reading room. On the first floor is the spacious dining room where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served.

The Club is open seven days a week throughout the year, except for a few days at Christmas and the New Year, and offers full restaurant service during the week, but only breakfast at weekends.

Justin Block Tailoring Ltd
