An Afternoon With Christian Lamb

Monday 4th July at 3.00pm / £15.00 per person

Christian Lamb is one of the last women alive to have volunteered for service in World War II. A heroine, according to the historian, Dan Snow; with many others in agreement.

Join Christian in the Drawing Room for tea, coffee and cake during which she will share recollections of her life including serving alongside Diana Churchill at Wren HQ in Blitz-battered London before being commissioned to Third Officer, running a Radar and Plotting room in communication with Bletchley Park.

Beyond The Sea – A Wren Officer at War” is her memoir of time in the WRNS (Women’s Royal Naval Service) battling the Blitz, working in the plotting and operations room of the Battle of the Atlantic, and finally preparing in secret for D-Day, passing Winston Churchill on the Whitehall stairs they shared.
