Chinese Boxing: A Solo Play Written and Performed by Mark Kitto

Friday 23rd September 2022 from 18.15 – 20.00 / *£15.00 per person / *The ticket includes a glass of wine on arrival

We are delighted to welcome former Welsh Guards captain turned actor – via a career in China – Mark Kitto, to the Club to present his acclaimed one-man show ‘Chinese Boxing.’ It is a piece of theatre written by Mark himself that he has been touring to theatres and venues across the UK and Europe, including a short run at the Playground Theatre in London in March this year.

The show begins as a lecture and soon transforms into a piece of theatre that transports the audience to Peking in 1900. Is there going to be a clash between China and the West? Ukraine is the crisis of the moment, but it is China’s rise that will dominate the 21st Century. How might it happen? Why? ‘Chinese Boxing’ is a bold and innovative piece of theatre that tackles the question from both sides, with no pulled punches.
