Britannia royal Naval College retained the Tamar Trophy this month despite the valiant efforts of the team from HMS Raleigh.

The wet and windy weather on the day of the contest could not dampen the spirits of either team for an afternoon of interaction and sporting contest. THe friendly but well fought competition took place at BRNC and saw head to head challenges in mixed netball, mixed volleyball, tag rugby, football and a Superstars finale. 

THe fast-paced netball match displayed a fantastic show of sportsmanship during the match as the more experienced BRNC players gave advice and encouragement to the HMS Raleigh recruits. Despite a lack of experience they quickly picked up the game and had an enjoyable afternoon.

The football pitch saw plenty og goals scored with the final result at 12 - 6 to BRNC and  the tag rugby score wirnessed som good defence  by HMS Raleigh before the home side won out at 11 - 8. The volleyball competition saw a spitied comeback by the HMS Raleigh team who won the final came f the three played.

For the final 'Superstars' each side fielded a mixed team which fought over eight different events including the traditional 'ramp relay around the parade ground.
